How can I get Lindens?
Verify your credit card information in your account profile via the Second Life website. Once your credit card is confirmed, which might sometimes take up to an hour, you will be able to buy Lindens directly from the viewer, by hitting the Buy L$ button on the top right of the screen. Confirm how much you would like to purchase. A blue box will appear after purchase confirming the transaction.
If you've input your credit card information incorrectly it will reject an attempt to purchase L$.
Another method of purchasing is through the Lindex. Click the "Buy L$" link, which will give you the option of buying currency through your internet browser instead of from the OnRez Viewer. When you are logged in, the system will tell you how many Lindens you can buy/sell in a 24 hour period.
Why can't I purchase Lindens? I keep getting an error message.
Visit your account page on the Second Life website and make sure your credit card information is active and valid. When you enter in a new credit card, it will take about ten minutes for that information to become active. If you are still unable to purchase Lindens even with a valid credit card, contact Second Life support directly.
How do I know how many Lindens I have?
In the top right of the viewer is a box that states your L$ balance. To the left of your balance is an option to Buy L$ from the Lindex Exchange.
How can I give Lindens to another avatar?
Access a resident's profile by right clicking their avatar or, if he/she is a friend, click the Profile button on the Buddy List window. Click the Pay button to transfer money from your account to another.
